A. You might be trying to play a playlist where the original file has since been moved. Remember a playlist is simply a reference to the file & points the player to where to find it.

B. Might need xtra codecs: http://www.land.ee/d_nimo_codec.html OR http://www.free-codecs.com/

Else get a back up player with built-in codecs & is free such as VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (choose nearest mirror site)
