how do i know if limewire is legal or not? does limewire have the proper licenses and such for everything it offers?

The program itself is perfectly legal. It is just a peer to peer file sharing program (p2p).

Once the user downloads the program, it is the users responsibility to know what is legal and not legal to share or download.

Each Nation, Country, State, City, Province, or Village have there own laws that cover what is legal and illegal to share or download.

It is the users who make up the network and not LimeWire.

So my suggestion is to check the Laws in your area to see what is legal and not legal to share or download.
