uploads if i let more uploads happen will this help my downloads? if so i will change it,it's set at 1 any help wod be great |
It will help very definitely! Some people filter out those that share less than a certain no. of files so you'd never be able to connect to them. What's more, if you have people uplding from you then it improves your search results, etc. Sharing a variety of material can also help to keep uplders interested. |
ok ok thanks -how many uploads do u think will be good????????? im set on 1 at the moment |
How many to share or how many to allow uplding? It depends on your connection type & available upld bandwidth as to how many you should allow to upld. If you're on dial up then no more than 2 I'd suggest (perhaps 1.) For broadband, cable, etc. then you can afford to upld to many. As for shared files, I'd suggest at least 100 if that doesn't sound too dramatic to you. Presently I'm sharing over 4 thous' files & I've seen others who've shared up around 20 thous'd. For more on uplding take these hints: A well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints. The lattehr one I've been thinking about re-writing for some time. That's just for playing it safe. eg- I show all speeds & qualities. eg: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...028#post116028 |
