Why won't the files delete?

After i downloaded a couple of movies i tried to move them to another folder or delete the movies but they won't delete. The message says "it is being used by another program" .. i cleared the incomplete folder, the temporary folder and closed all uploads and everything but it still says the same message .. i've restarted the computer as well andddd one of the movies has been in the folder for over a week now ..

Any help? Please and thanku?

What operating system are you using?

If windowsXP make sure you have admin. priviliges for the accout you are doing this from.

If that doesn't work try starting in safe mode and deleting that way.

This is the only way i could sort out the problem that you're having:

Goto Start ==>Run type "regedit", enter. Now you're in the register. Delete this registerkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{87D62D9 4-71B3-4b9a-9489-5FE6850DC73E}\InProcServer32. DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE!!! Close register and restart pc. The problem with the avi's should be disappeard. Deleting of this registerkey has no further consequences

From the 1st time I saw this thread till now, my 1st ideas are that you can't delete the file b/c it's being shared & someone is uplding one of the files or you are previewing it. Closing LW down should do the trick. If not then follow gooner1984's advice.

lol yeah that's what i thought in the beginning too but i don't even have limewire signed on or online. I'm not previewing it and i deleted the temporary files folder already.
