make playlist in limewire? Can't find info I had found from searching?

Hi,

I had seen a thread on how to make playlist in the limewire library (my library is a mess!). This thread had pics and everything (which I still didn't understand come to think of it, but I'll keep studying away). Anyway I have searched and researched and still can't find the thread.

Any help in organizing my limwire library (within limewire) would be helpful!!

peace

It's a Sticky that's at the top of this section about iTunes & iPod. Do you use iTunes or did you just want to see how to create a playlist in LW? Remember that a playlist is simply a reference file so if you later move any of the songs the playlist won't work.

Some people share their iTunes Music Library. Doing this helps to keep their music well organised into Artist>Album. iTunes shared library is the concept.

As far as organising your downld folder goes .. well there are no options at this point in time. Not unless you want to manually create folders within there for sharing or just for organising your downlds into type. But this can take some time.

Oh Ok. I just wanted to organize my library on limewire itself. So your saying if I remove songs from Limewire they won't be in my media player anymore?

Yeah I had a feeling it would be time consuming. But I'm getting use to it with Limewire :) ...I mean learning alot, and Limewire has been a blessing.

No I haven't been using I Tunes, but your right that were I saw the info. Is Itunes a good one? Wasn't getting along with WMP and switched to Musicmatch which has been great. I'm in burning heaven this evening with that one.

Thanks for the info.

Peace

I've never used Musicmatch but I've heard it's very good. Probably recognises more audio formats than iTunes can. The iTunes suggestion was just so your shared files would be easy to see & locate. iTunes does the organisation automatically once their added. Stick with what you're happy with.

playlist problem

Everytime I play a song from my library in LimeWire, it automatically adds it to my playlist. It's really annoying because after the song ends, it either plays it again, or plays the previous song on the playlist. How do I stop it from automatically adding songs to the playlist? I've searched all through the options.

Easy answer is: Use LW's media player instead to play songs.

Actually I do use LimeWire's media player. That is what's causing the problem. If I use Media Player Classic instead, it plays fine. But if I used LW's player, it still adds songs to the playlist. It's really getting annoying now.

That does not make sense. LW does not automatically add songs to any playlist except the LW Playlist in iTunes. But that's simply most recently downloaded music files. So it will show there regardless. Perhaps more preferable playlist in iTunes is the Most Recently Played or Added playlist.

BTW you can turn off your LW playlist in iTunes preference options. Under the Shared Tab. :)

I know it doesn't make any sense and that's why I can't figure out what is causing it. I don't even have iTunes on my computer. It's just everytime I play a song from my library using LimeWire's player, each song I play gets added to the playlist under the library. I can't find anything on Google about it. And I've checked every option available inside LimeWire.

Do not press Enqueue button. Press Launch or Preview instead.

You posted at end of some one else's thread, so I got confused about you using iTunes.
