spec. question for mods about posting

i posted something yesterday that was essentially asking someone to take my music and share it on limewire. 95% of the music either came from my digitized cd collection or from other friends at my school (not through p2p). I came back to the forums today and could not find the post. I assume that it was delete, so i just wondered if what i did fell under the category of illegal activity.
To the mod(s) or other users who saw my thread i like to ask: How can I solve this problem without breaking any of the forum quidelines.
(please, no sarcastic remarks, i'm trying to help here)
