Angry Oh %@#!^* NO!!!

Went to open LimeWire and now the claim is that Java won't load & I should d/l a new copy, so I did.
Will it grab it now? Of course not!
I read in the FAQ about a similar situation & it recommends that I uninstall LW, reload & all should be fine, but this begs: where does my library go? Will it load into the new LW?
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhh hh!

Default 10 days & counting w/out LW

Once again - as I've deleted my other posts - my LW suddenly decided not to load Java, instead directing me to go to their site for a copy.
Done, but to no avail. Likewise a new d/l of LW itself.
Call me an idiot, but I have tried to follow what should be simple instructions, including seeking, then deleting, a .limewire file/folder & going from there. The only . (dot) anything related is .Network Share.
Do I tear out everything LW & start again & if so, what happens to my tunes. Do they reload into a new copy?
An answer soon would be appreciated as I'm about to lose the present computer & would like everything in order to pass over to the "new" one coming, plus I miss my tunes.
Anybody?

When you uninstall LW it will only remove what was installed. It will not remove the preferences folder or the shared & incomplete folders. So you will be safe there.

It sounds to me like an uninstall of the LW program might be what's needed in your case. Keep in mind that on some people's systems Java 1.5 works best but for others Java 1.4.2 works better. Get a fresh LW downld from here: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

* When you install either LW or Java, 1st save the installer programs to your computer before installing (don't install over the net as this sometimes causes problems!)
