Tv episodes

How do you record tv shows so that you get the same quality that are on Limewire. I have recorded using various tools, such as an Archos portable and tv card on my pc but can never get good quality. Thanks for any help

It matters what TV card you are using!

I'm using ATI TV Wonder VE. I'ts not bad but it has mono sound and it fits in a PCI slot.

Good fast ones fit in your AGP expansion slot as a video card/TV card and could have 128bit graphics capeabilities.

Some cards also have HDTV but is very expencive!

Also I only have 1.4Gig P4 and I find that if I record from cable; -I can't have anything else big running otherwise I will miss more frames in the tv program that I'm recording.

You might get a good card off of ebay that is a year old and works very well for an affordable price?

Later :)

I have an xpert tv-pvr7134 and i can record at an average quality level. What is the best internal tv card?

The best would be HDTV. I here that "HDTV WONDER™ REMOTE CONTROL EDITION" is pretty good.

The problem with HDTV though is that it has not nearly as many channels as analog at this time.

The subject on HDTV has not sorted out compleatly yet..! You might want to wait a few years and hopefully by then there will be more channels and at a lower cost?
