All files corrupt? I just got LimeWire today, and thought I'd try out the shareware version before I bought the Pro version. I'm running Win XP Pro through a home router to a cable-modem. Perhaps it's good that I did! I downloaded a couple of MP3s to see if the program works (it does) but when I downloaded my first RAR file the program told me it was corrupt. I tried three RAR files, two ZIP files, and even (scary thought) two EXE files, and tried opening them with my standard WinRAR and a newer Beta version of WinRAR which I downloaded from the RAR Laboratories site. In all cases I got messages telling me that each file was corrupt. I doubt that every file I downloaded was corrupt, so I figure I'm doing something wrong, either with theLime Wire settings or when I try to extract the "corrupt" files with WinRAR. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, is there a work-around? Thanks in advance for any help you'd care to give! Regards, Duncan |
