Ouch! Sounds like a scam site (there's no LimeWire deal like the one you 'bought")

LimeWire is free from http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=28751 for stories of others who were scammed and how some managed to get their money back

Best wishes

Free

Limewire is totally free unless you have Limewire pro but even on limewire pro it is not a pay per song service, you are getting scammed.

Yes you are

The only way limewire costs money is with Lime Wire pro and that is only $18-25 for a the limewire pro that is for either the cd version or the version you can download staight to your computer and pay. the truth of the matter is limewire basic is totally free lime wire pro does cost money, but not over $26 limewire is not a pay by song service either so since ive put my time into explaining all of this please dont ask again CHANCES ARE IF YOU DIDN'T GET LIME WIRE OR LIME WIRE PRO STAIGHT FROM LIMEWIRE.COM YOU ARE PROBABLY GETTING SCAMMED, SO PLEASE DON'T ASK AGAIN!

Thank you for you cooperation

OK I admit we see alot of these messages on here about people paying for memberships.. and it seems repetative.. BUT it is worth repeating. These poor folks have been scammed out of their money and they come here asking questions. The least we can do is try to be helpful and FRIENDLY. If they just got here by way of clicking around in their Limewire program that they obviously paid WAY to much for they probably haven't read all the messages on the forum about the scam and aren't aware they were scammed. If you don't have the patience to try to help them out, then don't bother reading the forums at all. OK? That way you don't have to be "bothered" by the people who are only asking for help and we don't have to read your short (and I"m not referring to length) replies.

Unfortunately, the scammers are numerous and they have a vast web presense. For the 1 true Limewire site there's 100s of scammer sites. Obviously THEY aren't going to help explain what happened to those who were taken... so let's try to be a little nicer over here.

No vaseline

Ssminton

No vaseline, Man, that must have hurt.

Contact your credit card company, I presume you used your CC, and tell them you have been conned into purchasing something that's free. As most CCs have anti-fraud schemes, you should be able to get your money back without too much trouble.

Now, you said:

You may want to re-evaluate that.
