Need Help, Please!!??
 

Hi! I bought Limewire PRO in 2003. Since the I have had many different screen names. When asked to enter my screen name used to purchase PRO, I have used every name I can reasonably remember to get my service back, but with no luck. I do have the credit card I used to purchase PRO but it is inactive. How do I get my PRO back without having to pay again. Like I said I do have the credit card used to initially buy PRO and can provide other information if necessary except for the initial screen name used to purchase PRO. Can someone please help me get it back, I love using Limewire and miss the advantages I did pay for.

LW Pro allows you 6 months of free updates & customer support. Unfortunately your period is well over & your name will have been taken off the update register.
I guess you can either re-purchase pro or downld the basic version which is free: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

Thanks for the info LORD but that doesnt really help. If its a one time only fee, why should I have to pay again to receive what should already be at my disposel. Understanably I have not used it in a while but circumstances led me to lose my comp at the time, still this being the case I did pay "A One Time Fee" for services that I now can't use??????? There should be some record of this transaction somewhere, they supply a service and I am a customer, this isn't what I expected to hear, there should be a solution to my problem. Whether I used the service continuously or not I still BOUGHT PRO to help support LimeWire and should have my "one time only fee" respectively enforced. I hope there is a different solution for my problem. :O( I do not want to lose this service by being stabbed in the back by the people I support, not only through me but also through the people I have directed LW's way and gotten to upgrade to PRO.

You can still use the LW you purchased. What's happened to it? Like any softw program, if you want a new version you need to pay for it. You had the option of getting free updates for 6 mths. And of saving the installer to your comp to make backup of it. You can still use your older version or try out the free version of the new version or purchase pro again. LW does not have anything like a lifetime membership. (Only scam sites offer that & you only end up with the free version anyway. lol)

eg: you buy a car, 2 yrs later you want the newer version, do you think they'll give it to you for free.
