resuming incomplete files I have a fair number (less than 100) incomplete files that are more than 25% complete. Today, I got a message opening limewire that informed me Limewire would not be able to resume my downloads. When I tried to retrieve those downloads from my incomplete file folder, I saw that the incompletes were partially finished. When they resumed, however, they resumed at 0% complete. Am I basically out of luck, or is there some way to resume partially complete files without losing everything? For that matter, what good are partially complete files if they can't be resumed? |
I've wondered the same thing about the Resume function in the library. At least if they're files that are very important to you, you can at least get them even if it means starting from scratch. Your problem is most likely as a result of your comp crashing or you not closing LW down properly before shutting down your comp. These 2 things can corrupt the downld preferences. Try searching the topic of each file before using the Resume button in the library. This might give a better chance of success. |
Searching the "topic"? Thanks for the tip and I certainlt want to follow your advice, but I can't find "topic" and I'm sure what you mean by searching it. |
Topic = your type of search, what you were searching for. The same search words you used the 1st time in your search for each file. ;) |
