Can anyone answer a quick question for me?

If I am downloading a tv episode and somebody else is trying to download a large file off me, will that slow my download at all?

It depends.

Wow. That was really helpful. Thanks Mr. Have No Account. Your download speed is affected by uploads (I think). This does depend on how you are connected to the Internet and how fast your connection is. For example a download and an upload on a dial-up connection would slow your speeds to almost nothing both ways. But on a broadband connection the affects of an upload is far less noticeable. Don't quote me on this, but that's how I understand it to work. Good luck.
