First calm down, it's all good....check your options (on the top of the window), go to tools, click on options, go to advanced and check your setting for startup. If you have it checked to start upon startup, that may be your problem. It's not that serious.

Miffed

Better run a virus checker on your PC, others in this forum that have had the same problem accidentally downloaded a virus onto their system.

This program doesn't start up when I turn my computer on. I can use it for awhile then turn it off then it starts back up again all by it's self.

As for Viruses I check my computer every couple of days even though I rarely download many thing's an run AD Ware once a day.

Update

Well I couldn't understand why this program Started Up whenever it felt like it.

So after running Norton an AdWare again. I decided to run both with my computer in Safe mod.

I was amazed to discover that my computer was infected with 271 viruses named W32.Alcra.B I was also surprised to find out that all the viruses came from installin LimeWire.......So needless to say this program an the people who run it can kiss my ***! I removed all files for this program an told a few of my friends about it.

Cya.off to find better people an programs that don't infect my computer.

et voilà July 19th, 2005 04:37 PM

Good bye Miffed  Some just don't get it or understand how things work.... Viruses can't come from the installation of LW, dling infected files might however.

Hyper-X

There is no need to get abusive with Miffed because he is a lot like other people who have written into this forum, know very little and then blame LW for their woes.

It’s just a sign of the times, too many people are unwilling to take responsibility for their lack of knowledge and own mistakes, i.e. in Miffed case he downloaded the viruses himself without realising what he was doing.

I'm with you on this one, UK Bob, I've been on LW for over six months and I haven't gotten a thing come in from this site. It boggles the mind how many people have unprotected or underprotected computers. Going on the internet nowadays is a lot like having group sex with strangers, you gotta wrap that sh*t up or you'll end up with somethin' nasty....
