I am a beginner, but I SCAN, SCAN,SCAN, and I still find 90% of the files I download are virused, corrupted, or unknown format.......what is going on?

Ignore files less than 2,000 KB (2 MB) as most are either spam or virus spam. Don't get confused between KB & MB. Start using your Junk filter. It's a dynamic learning filter. For viruses it does take a lot of persistence but it will start to filter them out. WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of! (click on link) Clicking the top of the size column will arrange search results by size. Double-clicking this will arrange them with the largest at the top.

LOR ........thank you, have tried your suggestions, on my own, and multiplied, now getting folder EMPTY, so weary, so tired...but, will trudge on with help from the more experienced......thanx

im sure with practice your folders will be full and not a virus in sight,
