Is it possible that people are using a program that auto generates span with the "Show Incoming Searches" you do a search then there program reads the list of incoming searches then bam the small files are created like 4 Kb or ever large files that are mismatched wrong name or even something that could compromise your computer well who knows

Have you seen autogenerated spam results. Also make sure you have an active anti virus program with up to date definitions.
