how 2 make songs play? I just got LimeWire. It worked yesterday but today I can't make the songs play. Yesterday i could just double click on them and they'd play. Today nothing happens. How can I make the songs play??????????? I also noticed today that the MP3 Play List at the bottom was full. I don't know how i filled it or how to make it play. Where can I find basic instructions as to how to operate Limewire? Thnx |
To learn about playlists see the bottom half of this thread: How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) To play a song from the main part of your library just select it & press the Launch button. Remember the play button only works with the playlist. Also remember that a playlist is simply a reference file that has a list of titles & points the player to their location. If you move the songs after having created the playlist, then the playlist won't work. |
hi lord, I am only trying to play from my library. When I select a sond and hit launch nothing happens. The name of the last song that played remains in the little slot at the bottom right cormer area. I can download songs but nothing will play. I haven't moved any songs anywhere. |
Something's wrong then. Either the LW player is disabled or ... don't know. Go to LW's menu Tools>Options>Player & make sure the player is ticked. IF not, then tick it & press apply. If still no good & you want to use the LW media player then try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire Sometimes LW's media player won't play properly b/c LW is too busy. Perhaps you should use your default audio player to play instead. Go to LW's menu Tools>Options>Player & untick option & rpess apply. This won't take effect until next time you open LW. So next time your default player will launch & player the song when you preview or launch a song. If you don't have a decent player, then there's many a player out there to recommend. Here's a few: 1. QCD: http://www.quinnware.com/ 2. iTunes: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ 3. dBpowerAMP, 4. WinAmp: http://www.winamp.com/ |
it was the player. it works now. thank you lord. |
