sharing embroidery files

Am looking for fellow embroiderers to chat and share with

Lord of the Rings July 16th, 2005 05:06 AM

I just searched the word embroid & got a no. of hits (241.) Why don't you do the same & then send them a chat message. All my results had chat enabled except one. ;) :)

Chat

I've done that lots, but chat has only connected once in several hundred trys! yes. I realize that people may be occupied or away from their computer but the chat itself most often doesn't work after the first attempt in a limewire session. most frustrating. Is there a way (a place) to use the IP to contact someone?

Not as far as I know. I'd suggest you try using the chat feature at different times of the day if at all possible. You might just catch them whilst they're in front of their computers/viewing LW given the right moment.

Okay, don't laugh, but what's an embroiderer? Is that like needlepoint or something? I'm serious, I'm just trying to learn something here...

Lord of the Rings July 20th, 2005 07:17 AM

1. embroidery, 2. embroiderer

Lord of the Rings December 30th, 2005 11:52 AM

nembatha which version of LW are you using? If you're using LW 3.9.38 or later then you can use the spam filter to get rid of spam results. The search worked for me at that time. Helps if you know the sizes of spam though. Anything less than 1 MB (1,000 KB) is generally spam. But for documents. This post will give you an idea after you see the links of sizes to ignore: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...498#post182498

Perhaps you should try searching the topic at different times. I most likely used the Any Type search as I generally use that type. ;)

Also vary your search. Some tips here Cant search well help but this example applies to a different type of media.
