Problem with chatting=(! Please Help me!

Hello Peoples:D ! I have a problem with chatting! For some odd reason I cant write nothing when I want to send a message. I can send a message but its blank because I dont know how to write something in the message. I have tried and checked everything people were told to do with problems similar to mine. I have checked my ports(and everything is right), displayed the chat columm, waited for a pop-up message to display when I press chat with host, and checked if it says true/false by the "recieved incoming this session" and it says true. I dont know what else to do:( ! Can somebody help me with this problem? Oh and I almost forgot, I have the LimeWire 4.8.1 version and Windows XP. Thanks:D !!!

It sounds to me like the window is slow to respond. This happens on mac osx when LW has been running for some time. What I'd recommend it be patient. lol :D Wait a couple of minutes if necessary until the chat window is ready to be typed into. Oh & don't forget you need to actually click in the message to send part of the chat window so you can start typing.

Hi I replied to Blondiejean in this forum (thread "chatting" who seems to have the same type of query. I do not share the Lord of the rings view that you need to be patient. I have things to do in the next six months :-)
I feel that the chat feature, as is, is more or less useless but I am another Mac user .. perhaps the Windoze version is different

chatting

i was just chatting with marcel in holland. he's on bearshare. because of language barriers, i couldn't explain how to direct connect. took 20 mins to come to that conclusion. btw, if you see a bearshare U L ing doo-wop it might be marcel. tell him Dee says hello.

my question is does bearshare function like L W? ie the direct connect?

the reason i'm asking here is the original question: how to write in chat box. i had that problem with my first chat. i couldn't figure out where to write. you have this whole box, but only the skinny little line at the bottom to write in. which you don't know about till you write!!:D

Well you have me totally confused now... firstly as I couldn't remember writing my last post ... but it was 5 1/2 months ago LOL. I have seen in the forums that you cannot direct with Bear share ... but I've also seen that you cannot Chat with them either ... so It seems any thing is possible:) so all I can say is try it and see what happens.
