Read the instructions carefully. See the samples! You can even drag & drop the songs from LW's Library window to iTunes main library list. Read it carefully! Also see the tutorial links.

I reread the entire site, reread my entire IPOD manual and watched the movie also.

It seems the songs I have downloaded off LW have been saved as a MPEG file.
I have tried all the opitions they have suggested to convert the file but not having ANY LUCK
When I view the info on file is comes up as a MPEG file, however it is "listed" as a mp3 in my saved file.

The file I have saved all the music on, is listed on my ITUNES libaray however is will not let me transfer and FILES...regardless what I TRY.

It might be worth posting at the iPod forum to ask what the problem might be. I've posted there myself (actually the iTunes forum.)
Be aware that iTunes does not recognise mp3 Pro format. But it's unlikely all your songs are in that format unless they originate from the same source.
Are you using windows or mac?

So you did try to manual add them to iPod? http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/tu...tarted_t3.html

You can go here & click on the forums link: http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/art...ned-and-rated/

By the way, mp3 is mpeg. It's a type of mpeg audio format.

thanks for the email lord

I am using WINDOWS. I just uninstalled my IPOD and LW and Itunes. And then I reintalled them again.

But the same problem comes around....once I down load the song . I have the same problem if I try to drag and drop a song it is grayed out and it will now allow me to convert it to another format (AAC) and it shows up in my libaray as a MP3 but in the "describe section" of the song it shows up as a MPEG.

A was hoping to pick up and IPOD for a friend as a give overseas but if I am having so many problems now...I may just get soemthing else. This is nuts!

You should never convert from one lossy format to another, like mp3 to m4a.

I think I've guessed what your problem is: You're trying to drag & drop the songs from the LW playlist within iTunes. Please see the Sticky at the top of this section about how to get the songs into your iTunes music library. If they're not there iPod will not import them. The LW playlist is simply a playlist & the actual songs still sit within your LW downld folder!!!
