burning mp3's to a cd

please could someone help i have been trying to burn my songs to a cd but when i try to play the cd it is blank i am using nero to do this and it is coming up as they have burned succesfully have i done something wrong?

What type of CD are you using(CD-R or CD-RW)? Some CD players are unable to read these types of CD's.
