Default 851.7 KB zip folders

is anyone else getting a million of these zip folders that are exactly 851.7 KB and contain viruses ever time you search for a program?

I realize our commitment to open-sourcing is virtually absolute. But when we allow multiple entries of popular applications listed for download of 851.7, 6.4 or O KB, each of which yields an anno setup file capable of crashing hardware, to be posted without warning of the hazzard of downloading these files, have our "sources" not become too "open?" Many of these files have 3 or 4 stars. So much for reliable rating system. These entries should be deleted from our boards or at least clearly marked with a warning. Every time I see these multiple entries I notice a handful of users downloading the files. Don't we have some obligation to try to stop this?

I posted a suggestion regarding this in the 'feature requests' area. You can read it here.

LimeWire does not control, monitor or endorse any content on the network. that said, the quality rating is not a rating on the quality of files, its a rating of the connection quality. read the faq/userguide.
