why is limewire automatically downloading album art???
 

Why is limewire automatically downloading the album art of singers when all i do is download their music......
Can sumone please tell me how to stop this automatic downloading of album art and other images????

Please realize that Limewire is not offering, or providing anything for download. It is an application which allows, for instance, you and I to connect our computers together in such a way that we can uploads files off each other. If I have an mp3 file that you want and I happen to have affixed album art to it, then that is what you will get, although you will not know that the art is there until you open the file.

I do not myself upload any files with album art for one reason, and that is that they do not seem to show up fully in limewire searches... artist-title-album (in my experience anyway)

Art uses very little space ... compared to the 5 or 6 MB of the mp3, and there is nothing you can do about removing the art until you recieve the file.
