Updates and upgrades

First purchased limewire about a year ago, then purchased an upgrade for turbo charged. recently tried an update and it seems to have reverted to the first purchase allthough it says 4.9.11 version. It seems slower than before the update. I feel I have been taken advantage of. HELP?
