![]() ![]() I hope someone can help....When I am trying to download a specific movie file, it comes in most formats such as .mpg, mpeg, wmv, and .avi...All of the complete [and working] downloads come down as .avi files...fine...but then when i try to burn them in Nero as a VCD file [playable on DVD player] there is a message that says the .avi format is unsupported. Is this because there is a problem with the avi file in LimeWire? I was wondering if anyone else had these issues when it came to downloading .avi files. I would use the mpg, etc. files but whenever they download they aren't complete or working copies, why don't any of the mpeg, or mpg, formats download properly in Lime Wire....someone please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 |

Assuming your DVD player can read VCD's (most U.S. players can not. It's more common in Asia), you need a good AVI-to-MPG converter such as "TMPG" by Tsunami. Not hard to use, but not for the novice either. Once you've converted the AVI to MPG, try an excellent shareware program called "VCD Gear". It will automatically convert the MPG to VCD format, with the files necessary for your player to recognize it as a VCD. You can then burn the files to CD using Nero just as you would any other standard CD "Data" disc. That should do the trick. |
