I paid $48.00 when i downloaded limewire, but i am not sure what i paid for since limewire is suppose to be free.

Still, I am curious to know how you managed to pay out $48.00 without knowing what you paid for.

Simply put, if something is free then you are asked to supply payment details then, common sense says, you abandon the transaction.
