iTunes

iTunes is sooo confusing!
If anyone has an iPod and uses LimeWire and iTunes, PLEASE READ.

Ok so I download all my songs from LimeWire. I don't know how you guys got your songs over from LimeWire to iTunes so the songs went onto your iPod, but I made a play list called 'iPod Music'?? It worked but now that I have downloaded more songs, some of them transfer over to my iPod when others don't! Its soo annoying I don't know what to do. There are 3 folders with music on them IN iTunes. 'Library', 'My LimeWire Tunes', and my play list that I called 'iPod Music.' Now the annoying part is that each folder has a different amount of music on them. The only one that has all the songs I want it to have on my iPod is of course 'My LimeWire Tunes'. I don't know how to make the 'Library' and my iPod have the same amount of songs on it as 'My LimeWire Tunes'. Should I delete my 'iPod Music' play list and create a new one? Is there an easier way?
PLEASE HELP! Thanks in advance.

To get your songs into your iPod, the song files MUST be in the iTunes Music Library folder. So to get them there you need to add them via the techniques suggested in the Sticky at the top of this section. Press the Go button below left & you'll see it.

'My LimeWire Tunes' is simply a playlist of your songs that are still inside your LW downld folder. So you need to copy these to iTunes using the techniques outlined in the Sticky.

Don't forget also that you can manually add songs to your iPod.

The Sticky says to drop them on iTunes "library" whilst it's open. Not drop them into iTunes music library folder on your hard disk drive. That might work all the same. But is not the ideal way of doing it. The 1st way is an easy way of doing it.

Open up your LW downld folder. You can go to the LW Library window & select Saved Files/Shared & press the Explore button. This will open the folder for you. Then open iTunes and drag & drop the song files from the downld folder onto the iTunes interface ... such as the Library at the top of the playlist list.
