I subscribe to LimeWire Pro. The program isn't working and I can't click the icon to get Limewire.
There is no telephone number published anywhere. How can I contact them?

system restore problem
 

Due to a problem with my computer, I had to do a system restore. I was already a member (for at least the last 2 years) but now I cannot get limewire to come up, it will not recognise either e-mail address I punch in. Tells me user name and/or password are incorrect. I payed for a lifetime membership ( I believe it was 49.00 with an upgrade, Turbo or something like that) and now it tells me it doesnt know who I am. What gives? How do I get this back?

This is my question also, what did you find out?

There is no lifetime subscription. You were scammed. The only legitimate place to
get LimeWire Pro is www.limewire.com and it's always $18.88 for 6 months of support.

Thanks for the reply. If I was scammed how did I have access to limewire for the last year and a half, probably 2 years? Also, is there anyway I can get the icon back so I can get access to limewire again? (without paying again since I have apparently overpaid already)

A Tricky Little Way To Get That Icon To Work!
 

Wow, I thought I was the only one whose Limewire would not connect after clicking the icon. But, there is good news, for I discovered a secret to get get connected again.

I went into my programs and right clicked limewire and chose "explore" which then shows all the componets of the program. I noticed there are 3 limewire icons. One of them says "limewire on startup". That icon will pull up limewire.

I had removed the limewire icon from my start menu, then on the "limewire on startup" icon, I right clicked and chose pin to start menu. Whalla...back in business again.

This forum is not owned or run by the LW company. Best would be to send a PM to limenathan (click on link). However, I have heard of that happening before & at LW's cost they reversed the charges once spotted.

I have a Mac 10.4 and i tried to download the newest version of Limewire. It doesn't work on a older version mac so i need to download and older version. But now that ive tried to download the newest version, it wouldnt let me downloaded the older version

Answered via PM. ie: need to remove the newer LW receipt file from the receipt folder, else the system won't let you install an older version of LW. :) Receipts folder sample image
