Ad Problems.

Well, I downloaded the basic version of limewire, and it said in the policy there was not going to be any ad's. But theres one add right in the middle saiying "Download Limewire Pro" does anyone know how to remove it? because If I wanted pro version I would have gotten it.

Fine. I'm using a basic version of Limewire. I have A 56 Dsl Modem. I Wanted to know why there is ad's on my limewire about Upgrading to pro when the Downloading information said there wouldn't be.

It's hardly adware is it. Nothing to get so upset about. It's simply a prompt to show there's another version out there which the programmers put a lot of time & effort into whilst you're sitting there using a free version. Using the free version hardly merits any complaints about a simple link. Besides there's no dramatic differences between the 2 versions.

Likewise if there's a newer version available you'll also get a prompt. It's not exactly advertising in that respect. It's a request to keep the gnutella up to date & using community accepted versions & not out of date ones that do the gnutella community damage.

So Do you know, if theres like a free trial for basic, or is it just for free all the way?

BTW, Thanks for your help
