Question LimeWire Pro v4.8.0 vs v4.9.0

I originaly had LimeWire Pro v4.8.0, I liked it and often was able to download at 150KB/s. I got LimeWire Pro v4.9.0 today and was continuing downloads that I was currently downloading with Pro v4.8.0; the thing is though that with v4.8.0 I was downloading 3 files at 110-140KB/s each and 5 minutes later I was downloading the same 3 files with v4.9.0 at 10-35KB/s.

Since than I have not had any downloads over 50KB/s. So is 4.9 better or worse than 4.8. If it is better than why am I so slow now?

I have ppoe DSL and it is tweaked to the max.

Quick check:

See if your options/preferences (depending on what platform/system you are running) are the same with both versions. Especially look at LimeWire's Advanced->Firewall-> UPnP (Universal Plug-and-Play) settings.

The newer versions improved the ability of LW to work with the routers that have UPnP built-in, but since you are using PPoE, that is probably the problem.

Perhaps you will have to use the manual settings.

most likely the tweaking casued the problem as over time it could damage the normol data flow or you overused the bandwidth from your ISP and who is your ISP? mb they are blocking limewire's TCP port. I tweaked firefox to recive 200 requests at a time and after a while it screwed so hopefully every thing you tweaked is backed up.
