Default Upload Enquiry

If I were to download a movie and if I had dissabled the uploading facility in the program, is it possible for anybody to track the download. My reason for this question is that recently I received a warning message from my ISP to let me know that Columbia Pictures had detected me sharing a movie file while I was downloading it with a Bit Torrent program and told me to stop doing this.

use a different service, be careful of what files you download, and please share, it's what makes the network work.

I realise that shareing is the way to go, but you say to be carefull what files to download, how do I go about making sure that they are OK to get safely.

It is hard to share files when you have been threatened with legal action if you do so. Any other suggestions as to how to do it safely would be appreciated.

The license warning started with 4.9. I have seen quite a few hosts with au IP's. Never EXETEL though. That's why I suggest getting a new ISP. If the ISP you are using is threatening you with legal action, why would you want to stay with them? Plus the fact that it sounds like they are letting a media company track what its subscribers are doing on the internet. Who knows what other privacy issues they have.

It might be a good idea to check your privacy settings on your computer too.
