I want out!

Please advise me how I can get rid of Limewire. I have found it impossible to contact the service company, and the Limewire service is more information and hassle than I want to deal with. HELP!!!!!

You don't have to contact the company to remove LW from your computer. If you're using windows, go to the Start menu>Programs>LW>Uninstall.
If you're using Mac OSX then just drag & drop the LW program folder into the trash.

I just looked at your previous post. Well there's a sticky thread at the top of this section which tells how to burn a cd. But if that's too difficult for you to understand, then I'd suggest you 1st learn how to use your computer before using any other p2p sharing program. Because you will have the identical problem. Getting so upset over such basic & trivial things. If you can't read very well, then perhaps you can take lessons for that also. lol :D

figured it out myself!

Thanks for the information. I did uninstall Limewire (on my own) before I got this reply. Guess I can read a little........ Your reply (and the ones I received earlier in this forum) made me realize one thing about this service - if all the members are like you - it is not something I want to be involved with. Each response I have received during this whole process has focused on how stupid I am, and how I should know more. I know that to be true when it comes to using technology, but just getting responses like that doesn't assist me in learning anymore. Thanks for nothing.

If you give an attitude you will get an attitude back. If you come across as being angry you will probably get an angry response. I think that is what happened. You will find the people who know the answers are very helpful, but common courtesy applys.

Oh Dear .... You know hansenbarber, the first person to give me a rough reception when I came onto these forums, gave you one too. He does it to everyone, who comes into the forums without reading all the tiresome stuff at the top ... what can you or I do ..probably the first thing to do is rtfm It usually helps.. I stuck it out and he's not so bad once you get to know him :D :)

Grandpa September 10th, 2005 07:44 PM

Not only that but he has answered 10,490 people that had a problem. If you want to cancel go for it I very seriously doughty you got it from the official site any way. You were probably scammed and you are a bit arrogant. Hope you don't try to go through life like that it can be tough. Good Luck

My post was unneccesarily cryptic Grandpa :) I was actually referring to UKBobboy, this was the other thread:

http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=44412

but I do notice that even LOTR is a apt to "loose it" on occasions, and why not:)

Grandpa September 11th, 2005 01:57 PM

Yeah we all loose it a little at times I had already read the post you refered to. I noticed A litttle arrogance in hansenbarber post thus the comment.
