eek, no clue. I have an anti virus protection program myself and BL installed without picking up any errors or viruses. hmm. could be I have an older version and the new one they have out now might be corrupt? I may have gotten mine from the downloads.com website I think. Its been a while. I scan my drive almost everyday for viruses and have had nothing showup from Bearshare Lite or Limewire Basic. Thats really odd. I cant see a viruses getting into the program from the official site tho as every user out there would be complaining to beat the band.

bearshare.com/lite is the ONLY official place to get it.

Sphinx September 16th, 2005 03:41 PM

Welp, I still dont understand how you picked up a virus because I run Bearshare Lite without any problems. and if thats the only place to get it I doubt theyd put a virus in their own software as they would get sued by their users.

It wasn't actuall a virus it was a false positive Avast says it is most likley gain spyware.
