It would be great if Limewire could have an Index/Library section where you can see a giant alphabetical list of all files, sorted by audio/video/documents etc. that would let you see what is available for download based on who is online.

This way, when you are staring at the screen trying to brainstorm music you'd like to download, you would have a giant list that:

A: Makes it easier to decide what to look for/lets you browse

B: Saves you the hassle of searching for files and getting no results.

Could a live-updating organized index be a possibility for the next version of Limewire?

There is a What's New search type you can use. However that only shows what's recently being shared. You can do a what's new search for all types or specific file types such as audio/video, etc.
