You'll need to download Java 1.4 or later for OS X 10.2.8 if you're going to run LimeWire 4.9.0 or later. Apple's auto-update functionality doesn't upgrade the Java version to 1.4.

LimeWire 4.8.1 is the last version of LW that will run on Java 1.3.

LimeWire 4.9.30 is in much better than 4.8.1, IMHO.
