WinMX-LimeWire, the same? I've had and used WinMX for some time but recently it hasn't been connecting so I went to it's web site via Google and paid $29 something for a download which turned out to be LimeWire. This is similar to Winmx but seems to be a totally different company. Was I take? The site I went to was; www.mp3musicwebsite.com/winmx/winusgg/index.htm |
Just becareful of the scam sites. there's only one place to get Limewire for now it's: www.limewire.com. and, I think WinMX just bit the big one by the RIAA, not sure. |
WinMX official site is closed down. you bought into a scam version of what you thought was WinMX, but they gave you a scam copy of LimeWire, which is free at www.LimeWire.com , contact your credit card company, and/or the scammers that sold you free software and get your money back. yeh, my WinMx has been down for a couple weeks so I suspect its pretty much gone for good. Its a shame, basic program but it did the job. Oh well, I downloaded limewire today so well see how it goes. |
