Error message no. 37
 

I've looked everwhere on the forum and can't find a solution to the problem. I can play music but I get error message 37 when trying to play video. Sometimes it says it can not open because of a bad file name. If the solution is posted I can't locate it and I apologize.

if getting errors in videos you may to go download the codecs. Whats your media player?

Thanks, I am using the windows media player.I also downloaded the DivX player.Maybe I need to change my default media player. I thought I followed the posted suggestion re codec. I appreciate your help.

I use both those players as well. Try setting either one as your default player. I use Windows Media Player 9x as my default for music & videos. Windows media player does not play AVI files unless you have the right codecs installed. ;)

For some reason I can't figure out how to set my default player. I appreciate your help. Thanks again.

I managed to get real player to get them open. Thanks for you help.
