I know this has been said a zillion times but why why why do so many people out there fail to protect their systems.
Being online without having up to date Firewall and Anti Virus programmes is like going to bed and leaving the doors open, something will come in and do harm.
In addittion it is a really good idea to have an Anti Spyware programme along with a clean up agent like CyberScrub to delete your online activities.
I appreciate that these programmes cost money ( I have found most of the free ones lacking ) but nothing like having to fork out for a new system.
Anyone who believes that their system might be infected should consider visiting www.mcafee.com where they can have their system scanned for infection.

I am also surprised. I'm not a major windows user, but anybody who goes without av/firewall or both is like what's happening to the population of the world in some places, some precautions are obviously not being used. BTW there are quite a few online AV scanning services offered. Some are offered here also (in off links): WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of! & I do have links to more if anybody chooses to ask.

I'm even more amazed that users cant do math to tell the diff. between a very large file and a very small one and that the very small files contain viruses. :rolleyes:
