4.9.33 Any idea of the new features? Worth getting after the 4.9.30 mess? |
4.9.33 IS safe, it does NOT include filtering of audio content. The change between this version and .30 is that now you can publish files under Creative Commons licence. Just see in Library, there is a new publish button. Ciao |
I for one am not upgrading or parting with .30. ;) |
Thats what I was wondering. I thought .29 was the one to hang on to? I'm staying with .30 for the moment. |
Stick with .30 anything that requires a licence to publish songs is BS in my opinion. I dont feel like being nabbed by the RIAA. Thats what they did on Napster before it shut, no thanks.; Ive already experienced this once & once is enough for me. ;) |
I have been using it it works the same as.29,.30 had no problems with it. I am getting good search results and I did some rare file searches just for the heck of it and maybe I just got Lucky but I chose 5 PDF files that were 3 star and only 1 user. They all found sources and downloaded within 1 1/2 hours. Like I say it may have been just the luck of the draw. But it is the best rare search results I have ever had. |
I will no longer throw away any old installs. I still dont trust anything that has to do with licences to share music files. And, Im not a diehard downloader anymore. I just share. ans the speed has been back to normal for me on dls. As far as rare songs, I've been managing just fine on finding what I'm looking for. I feel no need to upgrade it right now. and, I dont want to get snagged in the future cos I gotta lots a RIAA music that they wouldnt want me to share. :) |
I agree I have kept the installers for a while but I will keep updating and testing LimeWire. I can always install one of the older versions. The only downloading I do anymore is for testing but I still share all my files which is what we can get into trouble for. But I will continue to support LimeWire and test the beta versions I admire what the developers have done for P2P file sharing software. And I can not blame them for what the recording industry has done they have done all they could to build a better product. I do not know what direction they are going to go in now but I hope they are going to try and develop a better direct connect type application software. |
I just cant help but wonder how many more upgrades before it goes bust? I will continue to cling to my .30. ;) |
I've been using 4.9.33 all weekend, and it's clean. I am keeping all the older installers, and et voilą confirms all that I have been able to find out about recent developments: 4.9.33 is 'safe' as far as I can tell. |
