iTunes ... again

Ok, I looked at the other iTunes help forums, and none of them helped me at all. :/ So I want to know where my LimeWire songs are saved and how I can transfer them to iTunes. I had Ares before and I had a folder where all the music I downloaded went, and I just went there, right clicked the song and did "Open With > iTunes". Now I can't even find where the songs are located, much less transfer. I don't like Ares, but LimeWire's not proving to be much better, seeing as how confusing it's been so far ...

Also, even though it's off-topic, why do some songs have a really bad tone quality? I downloaded "Dirty Little Secret" by the All American Rejects, and it sounds like crap, like all fuzzy and stuff, but then I downloaded "Somebody Like You" by Keith Urban and it sounds fine.

o_O

Don't get it.

If you D/L'ed the Music off LimeWire, check the file quality before you click Download. If there is a picture of a ripped page where the rating should be, then the files are corrupted.

Posting in the limewire section of the forum is more appropriate. So thus I'll move this thread.

By default your downld folder is here: C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared

You can get quick & easy access to downld folder: Go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) Then you can drag & drop them onto iTunes to add them.

To add the songs to iTunes see How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) & also http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/...ial/index.html

NerfLad has a point, the 2 reasons iTunes won't import songs are if they are mp3Pro or ogg vorbis; OR they are corrupt.

Some of the tunes on iTunes are downloaded by others from lowsy download sites. Some are planted by the RIAA to try to put people off using p2p. If I am having difficulty getting a decent copy of a song I will tend to go for something from a modem or cable user with no more than a handful of hosts sharing the file. and probably 192 bit rate or above, although to be quite honest you can get lowsy sound quality at any bit rate and excellent sound quality at almost any bit rate. ... You will learn from experience

Sorry... but this is total nonsence. This indicates a file that you have been downloading, or trying to download, and for some reason the download was terminated, but you still have the unstarted, or incomplete file in your incomplete folder. If you try to download one of these files again, it should start from where it left off and is no more likely to be corrupt than any other file.
