Default can someone help

ive just downloaded lime wire and its great BUT....I do not want it to start every time i turn my computer on.
It conects and runs the program..I have been into preferences and changed ..start on start up..but it still does it....help

I have the same issue. It will start up within 2 min after I close it down, even with startup unchecked.

This should give you some answers. It is probable that this is caused by a virus.

Itsmee...... It is however possible that you are not going to preferences>advanced>system start up>uncheck box and remember to click apply>ok. There is another setting for connecting to the network when you start Limewire and this can be confusing.

This is just a restatement of what Only A Hobo said but,

gjonesb1 You have a virus! Follow Hobo's link.

itsmee Two things to try-
In LW go to Tools>Options>+Advanced>System Startup> then untick the box that says "Run on System Startup" then click apply. After that it shouldn't run until you start it manually.

Also there's another option for connect on System startup.
In LW Tools>Options>Connections> then tick or untick the box per your preference>click apply.
