Limewire 4.9.33 Pro keeps shutting down
 

New at using Limewire (used it for about a week now) and have just installed Limewire 4.9.33 Pro and what happens is it will just shut down, the icon on the taskbar is still there (move the mouse over it and it goes away). It will do this when I am downloading or just when ever it feels like it and than I have to restart the program which is starting to become a pain. Am I doing something wrong, install wrong, a setting wrong?

1st of all, Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire

If that doesn't fix it, uninstall Java using the Add/Remove control panel & downld the "Offline" installer. Then install Java from your computer. Your Java might be corrupt. See link for Java from point #1 in my link above.

It works!!!! :) I did everything you told me to do and LimeWire has not shut down on its own since. Thanks for everything
