More Search Results!!!????

I cant seem to get hardly any search results when I know for a fact there are tons out there. It seems ever since I downloaded the new version of LW I havent been able to get as many results. I really need tips on how to get more results or at least, how to fix this problem!!!
Thanks

I'm having the same problem as smashley, I upgraded today and now I'm unable to get any search results at all...I never did use many keywords and it occurs even when I use the genre search, I get nothing. Is it a bug, system failure or what?

Many people have problem with current version of LimeWire. just try to use FrostWire, it a clone of LimeWire. Just try it out

Thanks, but I love my LimeWire, hate to see it go, will look around for other applications, but I'd like to see if I can make this work. Not looking forward to the proxy solutions, too much drama!

I am having problems with this new version of Limewire as well. when i had the older version i looked up a song called lets put christ back in chr*stmas by t*mmy w*n*tte. it came up under the old version but under the new pro version i cant get it. i emailed Lime wire but they never answered me.

They probably didn't mean to snub you, they probably get tons of emails and you may be able to find a solution to your problem by reading the stickies at the beginning of the fourms. I just reinstalled and it seems to have done the trick, but it still keeps disconnecting at will. I guess it depends on your ISP and how they view P2P networks like LimeWire. I'm in the States, so they think P2P's are the Anti-Christ! We'll just have to be creative and hope the big brains will come through with something...good luck!

You should not really put up names of songs on the forums, but this one seemed interesting. I made three searches for it, 1/. in audio ... artist. 2, audio ... end of song title, 3 under all ...typed the song title until space ran out. This is not a common song to find on Limewire and only the third option came up with one result. This goes to show that the advise often given to vary your search will bear fruit, but you must remember that only two or three people might share a song and if only one of them is on line there is no guarantee, even then, that it will show up in a search. I use Phex ... another application similar to Limewire ... and I find often that it gives better search results than Limewire. The other night however, Limewire came up with much better searches. It all depends who you are connected to and who is on line, so vary your search terms, and perhaps try in an hour or two if you have no luck.

Your question as put, would not I feel be one that Limewire would devote a lot of time to, as it is not really one that, as such, indicates any particular problem with Limewire. Are you actually a Pro subscriber ... as limewire do not as a rule even look at e-mails from Basic customers afaik.

Its a long answer to one post and to the others .... I'm not sure!. A lot of people seem to change versions and have this type of problem. It has never happened to me, and I always make sure I can easily go back to an old version, if a new one doesn't work out.

Wild Peach. You say reinstalling has ...(almost) got things perfect. Is Limewire reconnecting, and is the dissconnecting actually affecting uploads or downloads?

To anyone having problems this thread often helps. :

Well, it was a temporary fix, LW still disconnects at will, but if you sit and force connect a few times, it seems to stablize itself and I will get turbo-charged for a bit. Depends on the time of day as well, I seem to get better results during the day here, evenings and weekends are horrible. thanks for the link, I had seen it earlier, may try some of the suggestions there but I'll probably reinstall my previous version and start over again.
