OK well did you look at the other thread link I listed above? It may mean adjusting your graphic card settings or dropping down to Java 1.4.2

The new LW does not like Java !!!

Grandpa November 3rd, 2005 07:27 PM

I get the feeling you have not tried the graphics card fix or you are not doing a very good job of describeing your problem. If you have done all the fixes the lord has sugested you will need to describe your problem better.

By the way LimeWire loves java it is based on it. Maybe your computer doesn't like Java.

Describing Problems

You know Grandpa

I am finding it increasingly difficult to understand why some junior forum members have such a hard time explaining what their PC/LW problems are. After all, if they can find, download and install LW/LW Pro, even if it is from a scam site, they should be able to explaining clearly the problems they are experiencing.

Instead, the impression given is that you (dear senior member) are suppose the either read their minds, no matter what the distance, or make sense out of the nonsense they have written.

Now I am reasonably certain that most western schools have computer lessons and, for less fortunate adults, there are basic computer courses available. So really, there is no real excuse why someone cannot explain their problems unless it’s a “Jock” versus “Geek” thing, i.e. “I’m a Jock so I don’t need to know about geeky computers, but I want to download music”.

May be I’m wrong but can someone enlighten me.
