Limewire's player is not the best in the world, and it is adviseable to use a different player. I use iTunes, but winamp and various others do the job far better than the Limweire player.

Limewire does freeze at times, but, whilst it can be a pain, It still functions Ok as far as uploading and downloading what is already in progress. It is just the interface that freezes. It might help to lower your download cursor 5 or 10 percent in Limewire.

I hope this helps a little bit

To disable LW's media player, go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Player & uncheck the option box & press apply. After you re-launch LW, when you launch/preview a song, your default player will open & play it.

Some other decent players: 1. dBpowerAMP, - 2. WinAmp, - 3. Quintessential (QCD), - 4. iTunes
