Yes I realize I am able to login successfully to the forum pages, but my point was in trying to login to the Limewire site in order to begin searching for music and/or dowloading songs......these are two different login sites.The former, I was successful in doing; the latter I was not!

No need to log into any forum or site to use LW. Just let it connect, type into the search box & wait for search results. ;)

If you think you need to log into a site to download, I have a sad suspicion you accidentally purchased your LW as a scam site. Did you pay for LW & if yes, where? Which site?

No, I did not purchase the present version of LW. I just updated my former version to the newer one as was suggested by a reminder I received. In addition, I am having trouble locating the songs after downloading. Do they now automatically get transferred to My Documents/My Music or not? ...and if not, how do I transfer them there?

They will automatically go to where you set them to go in options. :) Check the links I gave in post #10. Under LW 5, the one in purple called "(f) Choosing which folder your saved/downloaded files go to - Using LimeWire 5" is the one that discusses this. :)

Similar to LW 4 in the respect yes all incomplete files go to an incomplete folder. When the files are 100% downloaded they auto-transfer to the folder you chose in options. :) If using same options as LW 4, then will go to same location as previously. ;)

Hello I'm new to the Limewire downloads and such and I need help I downloaded the Basic version and itm has been about an hour ago and it still says it is connecting and has not done so yet so what do I do

I bet connect reg_dword is set to 0x0000001(0)

make it 0x0000001(1)
