Losing media files
 

The problem I am having is that I am losing the music that I have downloaded from Limewire. I am either losing them completely or I am finding them for no reason in the recycle bin. I currently have Windows Media for my player and can't figure out why my music is being deleted. No one else is doing it so I can't blame anybody for it. :rolleyes:

But I need HELP!! I have the basic Limewire not the pro. Also, If I don't use Limewire for a while the program gets deleted. Could that be because of Spyware scans, virus scans, etc.

Remember that WMP is simply a playlist player. It doesn't actually move or import the music files themselves. So if you're adding the songs to WMP & then deleting them ... that's why.

I'd recommend doing this:
Go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) & then cut & paste or drag & drop the music files into your system/user Music folder. Then add them to WMP.

As for why LW is getting deleted, ... ??? It sounds to me like you like to delete stuff via LW's Library window. This is not always a wise practice as the files are deleted totally. It by-passes the recycle bin. Perhaps you need to change habits. BTW LW has no spyware. So get yourself a proper spyware program that works properly with p2p sharing programs such as 1. Spybot - Search & Destroy (FREE), & also add this one to the list 2. ad-ware (FREE)
There's too many spyware programs out on the market that simply don't work properly. Some think p2p programs such as LW are spywares. And some spyware utilities even have spyware themselves.
