![]() My download speed averages between 16KB's and 25KB's per second. I am using Comcast Cable and I've tested my ip and download speeds: Text Test Results Loaded 340,781 bytes in 2.514 seconds from Open Hosting (UK) server. Your Results: 1084 Kb Bellsouth: 1074 Kb Adelphia: 1120 Kb Avg. I have done all of the tweaking including cutting back on bandwith of uploads. I recently opened it back up because this practice seems unfair to others out there. I would like to hear from other Pro users on how much faster speeds they have gotten from their investment. Thanks, Ps: Operating system is WindowsXP machine is a Emachine 400 i3 (yeah it's a few years old) but I've added some improvements. |

![]() I just retested my speed: Welcome to BBR! Run more tests! see forums 2005-11-04 04:09:20 EST: 2781 / 340 Your download speed : 2781 kbps or 347.7 KB/sec. Your upload speed : 340 kbps or 42.5 KB/sec. I'm sorry no one has stepped up to support limewire pro and offer me some real honest reasons why I should order it. |

![]() You can only go as fast as your internet connection allows you. and on cable thats as fast as you can go. It doesnt matter how fast Limewire goes. It also boils down to the hosts and how much bandwidth they give you while downloading. If you are a heavy downloader then Pro might be worth it to you. Otherwise the free, basic version works just as well, if not better than Pro and you wont have to bother giving out your cred card details. but if you want to go pro then the ONLY way to get it is to go here: www.limewire.com any other place/site is a fake. Pro only costs 18.88 US dollars, and you get 6 free months of upgrades. No P2P app can promise you top speed, whether you pay for it or not. Thats just not how P2P works. You download the same files from the free Gnutella P2P network no matter what app you use and no matter what price you pay to use it. ![]() |
