Help in cancelling Limewire Basic

Someone please please help me. I was messing around on my computer the other day and decided to download limewire at a cost of £13 for a lifetime membership.

I have now seen that they have taken £33 out of my account. I remember it said that I could cancel within 7 days, but I have got no idea how to. I have deleted the program off my computer, but I need to know that it is gone for good, and I need to try and find a contact number to find out why they have taken that much money. The only thing is, they will only help Limewire PRO customers.

I really don't know what to do, can someone help me please ?

Whoever you paid , it was not Limewire.

Cancell your payment immediately, if you can, and then cancell your card. You have purchased Limewire (Basic is free btw) from a scam site, wo are ....crooks

Limewire Payment

Only A Hobo

Thanks for your reply. It must be Limewire, as it was on their website that I filled in the paymnet form, and then the package downloaded onto my system.

On my bank statement it said IP-P2PSUPPORT.NET and the charge was £33.72. Earlier I found an email that my husband didn't tell me I had recieved, confirming my membership, I tried to email them, but they have replied saying that I can get email contact or a tel number in the support section of Limewire, but I have spend most of the morning looking for a number on the website, and it was mission impossible.

I willl have another look.

Thanks very much for your help anyway.

ip-p2psupport.net is, I'm afraid, certainly nothing to do with Limewire.

If I ever make an online payment, I always record the url where I made it and the transaction deteils. It is possible to get hijacked from the official limewire site by spyware on your computer , and possibly by cookies of a harmful nature.

You may be a ble to check what site you ended up at through your browser history ... depending how far it keeps records.

Limewire cannot be reached by telephone and any site that says they can be reached by phone, is most certainly a scam site.

As I have said ip-p2psupport.net had sold you a non existant membership to Limewire.

Limewire can only safely be obtained from http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

Hobo is correct, that IS NOT limewire.

www.limewire.com IS the only official Limewire site.

Pro only costs: 18.88 US dollars, not sure what that is in Euro however.

Cancel YOUR cc number straight away! right now, dont delay.

you've been scammed/conned and they will use your cc number, like Hobo said, cancel that number out ASAP!

I'm pissed off now.

Thanks people.

Looks like someone has conned me, big time.

I will call my bank now to cancel everything.

Once again, Cheers !

If a bank card you may have to get a new card. Keep watchful eye on your statements, make sure no other funny charges appear and alert your bank that, that is a fraud charge.

and, just to let you know, there IS NO such thing a a 'lifetime' membership to any ligit P2P app. Limewire basic is free to download.

good luck.
