This post is primarily for European users, with special emphasis on the UK (since this is where the con is ongoing), and shows how planting diallers on PCs is making big money for the criminals concerned.

PS. Last week I found, with the aid of Ad-Aware, three diallers planted on my PC.

Im not from the UK but Ive had them on my computer too from surfing the web. I had a couple that were also in the form of a trojan toolbar. Whatchout for those toolbars!!!!

I got zapped by a nasty 1-800 trojan on the web and it was a bitch to remove, even with an adware program.

Just wanted to let you know as I dont think its just limited to the UK. I feel more safer using P2P than surfing the web these days.

You can get dialers from browser hijackings.
